Cold Shrink Termination_Chengdu Huayi Heat Shrinkable Material Co., Ltd.

HuaYi Cold Shrinkable terminations provide easy installation for a broad spectrum of indoor and outdoor applications. The Cold Shrinkable termination is based on specially formulated, track-resistant silicone rubber insulators. The insulators are pre-stretched around a spiral plastic core. When the terminator is slipped over a properly prepared cable and the core is removed, the terminator immediately shrinks to the cable`s dimensions. The result is a void-free, flexible seal without special tools or torches.

Requirements: IEC 60502.4, IEEE 48, GB 12706.4

We supply cold shrink terminations for 1KV, 8.7/10(8.7/15)KV, 12/20(18/20)KV, 26/35KV as below chart.

All the tests are implemented by CHINA NATIONAL CENTRE FOR QUALITY SUPERVISION AND TEST OF ELECTRIC WIRE AND CABLE and QUALITY INSPECTION AND TESTING CENTRE FOR EQUIPMENT OF ELECTRIC POWER P.R. OF CHINA.

1. Amazing performance of Huayi 35KV power cable accessories in the explosion accident of power cable

In July 2014, due to serious over voltage and over current, the 35KV power cable in Nanbu county exploded about 70 meters long. The steel armor was broken, the copper shield layer was exploded and insulation layer and outer sheath were burnt. The flame had to be put out by firemen. From the field photos, we can see the explosion holes and exploded shield layer in the cable. The power cable exploded about 70 meters long, however, the power cable accessories (straight joint) right connected to the exploded cables were perfectly in good shape without any damages. This straight joint was made by Chengdu Huayi, it showed astonishing high quality performance.

The power supply company said the power cable accessories sometimes exploded in their county. Since March, 2010 they replaced all the old 35kv power cable accessories to Huayi power cable accessories, after that there was no accident happened until this power cable explosion accident. However this time it’s the power cable exploded instead of accessories, it’s unbelievable. Huayi power cable accessories showed high reliability and high stability performance.

2. Waterproof test of power cable straight joint

User’s test report: waterproof test of power cable straight joint from Chengdu Huayi implemented by Administration Department of State Grid Chengdu Power Supply Company.

In order to realize underwater sealing performance of straight joint from Chengdu Huayi Heat Shrinkable Products Co., Ltd, we implemented withstand voltage test for straight joint before water immersion and withstand voltage test for straight joint underwater with depth of 1.7 meters for 6 months(from June 4, 2007 to December 12, 2007). The test results showed that the straight joint from Chengdu Huayi Heat Shrinkable Products Co., Ltd had excellent underwater sealing performance. The test report is shown below.

Note: indoor and outdoor terminations and straight joint were installed in the same power cable.

　　3. Feedback report of power cable accessories

　　In some instruction and maintenance projects in 2008, we used indoor and outdoor terminations and straight joints for 15(10) KV, 35 KV made by Chengdu Huayi Heat Shrinkable Products Co., Ltd. We consider that Huayi products are on high level of withstand voltage with nice forming appearance, all the technical specifications are qualified and all the products on network are in good condition. 　　Below is our Customer Satisfaction Questionnaire from Anshun Power Supply Company. We supplied them 500 sets of 10 KV heat shrinkable indoor, outdoor terminations and straight joints for 500 sets. For the quality and delivery time, they circled “very satisfied”, for the price and others, they circled “satisfied”. They also circled “very satisfied” for feedback speed and service.
